How to Become a Rider!
Become a Rider
Join Reins of Hope as a rider and embark on a transformative journey through our therapeutic riding program. Our doors are open to individuals of all ages facing physical, mental, cognitive, or emotional challenges.
Our therapeutic riding lessons are available in one-hour sessions, offered either privately or in groups. Each lesson costs $65.
Below, you’ll find a few prerequisites for our riders.
- Age Requirement– While there’s no maximum age limit, we require our riders to be a minimum of 4 years old to participate in our program.
- Weight Limits – For safety reasons, we have specific weight requirements for riders. We understand that each rider’s situation is unique, and eligibility is assessed on an individual basis. Please contact our staff to discuss whether your rider meets the criteria.
- Dress Code -All riders must wear an ASTM-approved helmet during their sessions, and some may also wear a balance belt for added stability. We provide all the required equipment for our program. If you prefer to purchase your own helmet, we’re happy to offer recommendations. For attire, we recommend long pants, preferably leggings or riding pants, and closed-toed shoes with small heels for safety.
