Jeanne Dennis Program Coordinator Jeanne has a lifelong passion for all things equestrian, gaining experience the old-fashioned way—through trial and error. A horse owner since age 8, she has ridden in many disciplines, with English riding being her favorite. Over the years, she has been fortunate to work with wonderful horses that have provided her with invaluable guidance and training. A native of Baton Rouge, LA, Jeanne moved to Lake Charles, LA, in 2005. She earned her Nursing degree in 1987 and worked in Labor and Delivery for 13 years. In 2000, she took a break from her career to care for her children. In 2008, after raising her six children, she returned to school and became a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. In 2011, she was certified as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. Jeanne worked with the Steeds of Acceptance and Renewal Therapeutic Riding program in Lake Charles for several years before being named Program Director of the Reins of Hope Therapeutic Riding Program at the Stable at Le Bocage. |
